Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-26
This policy explains which cookies and similar browser storage the IXSocial website uses, and why. In short: only what the site needs to work or to remember your own choices — no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and no cookies that follow you to other sites.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so that it can recognise a choice or a step on your next visit. Browsers also offer local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), which works similarly but is never sent to the server automatically.
2. Cookies we set
IXSocial sets only these first-party cookies:
- locale — remembers the interface language you chose (Azerbaijani, English or Russian) — 1 year.
- theme — remembers the look you chose (Classic, Warm or Midnight) — 1 year.
- ix_ref — keeps the referral code from a link someone shared with you, so that the referral and its discount are credited when you sign up — 60 days.
- tiktok_pkce_verifier — a one-time security value that protects the TikTok connection step against forgery; set only while you connect a TikTok account and readable only by our server (HttpOnly) — 10 minutes.
3. Local storage
The web app also keeps the following in your browser’s local storage. None of it is shared with third parties:
- Sign-in tokens — keep you signed in. They are kept in localStorage if you tick “Remember me” when signing in, otherwise in sessionStorage, which is cleared when you close the tab. Signing out removes them.
- Active brand — which brand you were working on, so the app opens on it next time.
- Post flow view — whether you last looked at the Post flow as a Kanban board or a list.
- Real-time fallback — a short-lived flag that tells the page to stop retrying a live connection the network has refused, and to refresh periodically instead.
- Website chat — your conversation with the chat on the website, so it is still there when you reload the page.
- Notification hand-off — which post a calendar notification should open.
4. What we do not use
IXSocial uses no advertising cookies, no analytics or statistics cookies, no social media “like” buttons or tracking pixels, and does not build profiles of your browsing. Because every cookie above is strictly necessary or simply remembers a choice you made, the site does not show a cookie consent banner.
5. Third-party pages
On the sign-in and sign-up pages, the “Sign in with Google” button is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies. When you sign in with Google or Apple, connect a Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn or TikTok account, or pay on the M-Solution (mPay) payment page, you are on that provider’s pages, and their cookies are governed by their own policies.
6. The mobile app
The iOS and Android app uses no cookies. Your sign-in is kept in the device’s secure storage, and your choices (language, theme, active brand) are stored on the device. How the app handles data is described in the /privacy.
7. Managing cookies
You can view, delete or block cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. If you block them, the site still works, but it will not remember your language and theme, a referral code from a shared link will not be applied, and connecting TikTok will fail. Clearing site data also signs you out.
8. Changes and contact
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this page and ask for your consent first. Questions: info@iktex.az.
